Sustainability is “the ability of an organization to continue its existence in a way that does not create long-term negative impacts for the planet or its inhabitants” defined as a balance between the environment, equity and the economy. encompassing a number of concepts, such as balance of values, proportionality of actions, social responsibility, commonality of interests and resources, as well as sobriety focused on prudent and restrained policy. The UN Secretary-General has rightly noted that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are more important than ever, and that “now is the time to ensure the well-being of people, economies, societies and our planet” It is therefore crucial to develop sustainable solutions that guarantee equality and a better future for all. Global and regional assessments reveal that current efforts to achieve sustainable development are inadequateClimate change is now affecting the entire world population, as well as our ecosystem balances, agriculture, fisheries, forests, soils and biodiversity, and also our financial and insurance systems, potentially disrupting our lifestyles. Scientists agree that, in the future, climate change will only accentuate the economic and social inequalities that have already been observed between states, communities, social categories, men and women, and even within countries.

It is our challenge, as a new generation shaping the uncharted economic geography of our continent, to ensure that we seize the opportunity presented by this process, with thought, courage and wisdom, to ensure that new regimes prioritize sustainability objectives. This is the context in which climate justice is unfolding, a hopeful dynamic with a promising future, proposing new ways of reconciling climate action and social justice. In the face of an environmental and climatic emergency of common peril, justice has a decisive role to play in protecting the environment and halting the damage caused to it. The latest The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change( IPCC )reports have been digitized, disseminated, commented on, explained, synthesized and schematized, yet nothing seems to be moving.
